Our promised land,

Green! White! Green! The code  that Divinity planned,

The wealth of this Nation is vast like the sand,

In human and mineral resources she doth proudly stand...

Nigeria! 

The land that overflows with good oil,

Has a rich and enviable soil,

Even in the midst of thickened toil,

The land scarcely accepts to boil...

Nigeria!

None can deny your unrivalled fame,

Wherever your people are found they're always masters of the game,

Through heat or chill your courage remains the same,

Resolute zeal is your miens unchanging name...

Nigeria!

Even though hardship has many a time thrown you its fist,

Your children undauntedly in optimism feast,

Even though prejudice may label you amongst the least,

Nature has inexorably placed you in the top ranked list...

Nigeria!

It is widely known and accepted,. That your children are distinctively well-read,

You're fair to your neighbors, they're by your generosity well-fed,

Nigeria will forever be blessed and lifted...
