Donors And Drainers #InspirationalPoetry

Sitting idly on a chair happily reminiscing,
Events of not long ago I'm gladly recounting,
Through all the plans and acts something clearly stands out,
And it gently blows on my mind like breeze from down-south.

There's an attitude that's rampant all across the globe,
To many 'tis a way of life so people scarcely probe,
But its foundation's in darkness causing men to grope,
The watchful and the wise will always from its path elope!

Selfishness is a vice that's so widely practiced,
All of its subscribers get no reward when deceased,
Cause the path to true wealth can never be found in greed,
Selfishness deals one the harvest of weeds!

True and thorough friends are scarce and hard to find,
What obtains are those who love to stab from the hind,
Claiming they care is mostly a thorough bred lie,
Scheming ways of discomfort, their eyes lovingly pry.

Self-centredness fills one's heart with awful amounts of bile,
Claiming they love themselves a self inflicted dosage of guile,
Selfishness turns one's dwelling place into a sty,
Forcing one to always be the last one to cry.

No man is an island is a statement so-so true,
Never reaching out makes one to drink the poisoned brew,
Being judgemental subjects hearts to a strain,
Many are the victims its unwarning sword has slain!

Dealing your' to others grants a bountiful harvest,
The wise and compassionate are fully of these facts abreast,
All directions pointing to self gets an end product of sadness,
Cause failing to give what you have turns your treasure to a mess!

Back to the very beginning I beg to continue,
Pardon me for digressing from my main point of view,
The subject on my mind is one who's always been there,
Believe me when I say such are abundantly rare!

I'm seated here thinking about a certain Heaven sent helper,
One who stands out like a storm-breaking shelter,
Susan is an angel from GOD to be my standby succour,
She's often deprived herself to see my happiness is thorough!

There's a friend that sticks closer than a brother,
Irrespective if one has a mild or volatile temper,
Their love is poured like helpless one's upon a stretcher,
They're always there through thick, thin or stormy weather.

Selfish one's are like gall stones in one's dear bladder,
'Tis safer to quickly spot them through one's perceptive radar,
Far better alone than in the wrong company,
They are like trumpet blasts to a soprano symphony!
